In situ hybridization was performed on brain slices from adult rats (n = 3) using probes for adra2a (alpha-2A AR, red) and adrb2 (beta-2 AR, magenta) in one set of slices, and adrb1 (beta-1 AR, red) and adrb2 (beta-2 AR, magenta) in a second set of slices.
